Nanomaterial growth and characterization; Soft Matter Physics; Nanosystems imaging; Nanosensors.
My research interests lie at the interface of materials science, biology and engineering, particularly in the advanced characterization of nanostructures and biosystems (AFM, SEM, Raman, PFM); synthesis, fabrication and assembly of nanomaterials; mechanical and electrical propeties of nano and biomaterials; and cellular mechanics.
Other interests include the development, adoption and impact assessment of energy technologies for sustainable development; applied technologies for health care delivery in developing countries. Currently, we are focused on a telemedecine project in the province of Uige, Angola.
